William Shatner (born on March 22, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian actor, musician, recording artist, author, and film director. He became famous for his role as Captain James T. Kirk in the science fiction TV series, Star Trek. He continued his role in Star Trek: The Animated Series from 1973 to 1974, and in seven of the Star Trek feature films, from 1979 to 1994. He was also cast as the veteran police sergeant, T.J. Hooker in the TV series by the same name, from 1982 to 1986. He has made appearances on many TV shows and feature films. From 2004 to 2008, William starred in The Practice and its spin-off, Boston Legal, which earned him two Emmys and a Golden Globe.
