Throughout his tuition, Joshua held part-time positions at various companies. He served as a Sales Associate for LensCrafters between June and August 2019 in Orem, Utah. He then worked as a Medical Technician at Utah Valley Eye Center, Inc., in Provo.
He remained at the eye center until February 2021, when he moved to Blue Market as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Joshua left the company that December.
In September 2016, Joshua's father posted a heartwarming video that showed the then-18-year-old standing next to his mom and reading a letter detailing his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) in Rome, Italy.
"When Josh read the letter, the room erupted with pure joy," the dad of five narrated after sharing that one of Joshua's older brothers, Jeremy Osmond also served in Europe in 2000. Later in 2016, in December, the Osmond family bid farewell to Joshua.
His father wrote, "It was an especially emotional weekend for us as we're preparing to send our youngest boy out into the world. As we've experienced with our older sons, that boy never returns home from his mission. A man comes home in his place." He returned home in December 2018.
Joshua and his wife, Summer Felsted, met when they were kids. The lovebirds attended the same elementary school and high school and now college. They lost contact during Joshua's mission in Italy but started "hanging out and going on dates," following his return.
Their connection deepened, and less than a year later, Joshua asked for Summer's hand in marriage. He shared the good news on his Instagram, writing, "What better way to spend Valentine’s Day then to propose to the love of my life!! I love you so much, Summer. (sic)"
The couple tied the knot in June 2020 during an intimate ceremony with their family. They had initially planned to officiate their union at the LDS church but to abide by COVID-19 safety regulations, they opted for Joshua's family's backyard.
It was an emotional day for their pair, and despite having had to make significant last-minute changes, they said their day couldn't have turned out any better. Following their nuptials, they whisked off to California for their four-day honeymoon.
Celebrating their second wedding anniversary, Joshua posted a photo of his wife, who cradled what appeared to be a baby bump. He wrote, "Happy 2 years Sum!! These have been the best years of my life. Excited for what's to come."
